The scope of work includes excavation and backfilling; installation and compaction of graded aggregate base (GAB); preparation of subgrade; installation of 6-inch concrete; placement of topsoil; turf establishment including seeding and mulch; and all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. Instructions to bidders: All proposals must be made on forms furnished in the Bid Booklet. Each bid envelope should contain a bid booklet and be marked with the words "SEALED PROPOSAL, SKATE PARK IMPROVEMENTS, CONTRACT NO. 26-SP-06" along with the name and address of the bidder on the envelope. Proposals must include a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in an amount of not less than 10% of the total bid as a guarantee of providing a 100% Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond upon successful bidding. No bid may be withdrawn until after 90 days from the opening date. The City of Hagerstown reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids submitted, either in whole or in part, for any reason within its absolute discretion and to re-advertise if necessary.
