The City's Transportation Department is seeking information on traffic counting equipment and software. The City currently collects data on vehicle volumes, speeds, classifications, turning movement counts, and travel-time surveys, including counts of active transportation users such as pedestrians and cyclists. These counts are performed both continuously and for short durations. The collected data is used to support safety assessments, intersection control and level-of-service analyses, development approvals, planning studies, signal coordination, and other operational or planning activities. Additionally, the City publishes an annual Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) report for streets classified as collectors, arterials, expressways, freeways, and highways. Interested respondents must register on the City’s electronic bidding system to download the solicitation document, ask questions, receive addenda and notifications, and submit their response.
