Renovation of a fire / police facility in Langley, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The Corporation of the Township of Langley (the “Township”) is seeking Request for Statements of Qualifications (the “RSOQ”) for the Fire Hall 6 Building HVAC System Upgrade project located at 22170 50 Ave, Langley. All interested parties (each, a “Respondent”) are invited to submit a response and are required to demonstrate direct experience acting as the prime contractor for the installation, upgrade, or replacement of HVAC systems in municipal buildings, delivered under a Progressive Design-Build (PDB) or an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) models. The Township intends to deliver the Fire Hall 6 HVAC upgrade project using the PDB model. Under this approach, the Design-Build contractor will be responsible for retaining a team of consulting professionals and leading the pre-construction (design) services phase, including advancing the design, preparing cost estimates, and submitting a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal to the Township. Upon acceptance of the GMP, the Design-Builder will execute a CCDC 14 agreement and proceed to the construction services phase, which includes completing construction documents and undertaking construction of the project. The Fire Hall 6 HVAC upgrade project may include, but is not limited to: Acting as the Design-Build contractor under a Progressive Design-Build (PDB) delivery model to assemble a design team and lead the development of an HVAC upgrade design that meets the Owner’s Statement of Requirements (OSR), which will be issued to pre-qualified Respondents in the next procurement stage. Demolition of existing HVAC systems and installation of new HVAC systems, including all necessary labour, materials, tools, equipment and other associated services beyond mechanical discipline as the prime contractor under a PDB delivery model. Commissioning of new systems and re-commissioning of modified systems, including full integration of all new and existing systems into the new building automation system in accordance with the Township’s standards. Coordinating and procuring a RCABC certified roofing contractor to complete localized roof replacement work associated with the rooftop unit (approximately 1,200 ft2).
