Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Annapolis, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project is for the installation of sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and roadway construction in the South Southwood area, an area that includes almost three miles of roads with and approximate 40 foot right-of- way. A feasibility study of the existing infrastructure will determine potential areas for connecting missing sidewalk sections and upgrading the existing sidewalks to be ADA compliant. The project includes evaluating stormwater management to address drainage complaints and to treat runoff from the additional impervious area due to the new sidewalks. It also includes treatment of the existing impervious area and evaluating the storm drain system to determine whether additional infrastructure is needed. The City will have to acquire right-of-way for installation of sidewalks, curb, gutter and roadway as necessary. This project assumes that the necessary rights-of-way for the installation of sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and roadways will be donated to the City and not purchased. Design and scoping phase will include hydraulic studies, benefit cost analysis necessary for federal funding applications, and public outreach. The project is included in the City's 2027-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
