Demolition for a municipal facility in Florence, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility.
Sealed bids are requested from qualified vendors to provide demolition services at 507 N. McQueen Street and 516 James Street, Florence, SC. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with "Bid No. 2026-19 Demolition" and received at the specified address by the stated deadline. The City does not accept electronic or emailed bids. Late submissions will not be considered. The City of Florence reserves the right to engage in discussions with any or all responsible bidders for clarification purposes, to reject any or all bids, to cancel the solicitation, or to make an award in its own best interest. Participation is subject to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes, prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age. Bids submitted by mail, Federal Express, United Parcel Service, etc. must meet these same requirements and should be addressed to: City of Florence 324 W. Evans Street Florence, SC 29501-3430 Questions concerning this invitation to bid should be directed to the City Purchasing Agent, Lynwood F. Givens in writing by e-mail at lgivens@cityofflorencesc.gov. The deadline for the submission of all inquiries is May 7, 2026 at 5:00 pm. The City anticipates a thirty (30) day period in which this project should be completed after a Notice to Proceed is issued. Liquidated damages of $100.00 per day will be assessed for failure to complete all work within 30 days. Award is subject to final approval.
