Renovation of a fire / police facility in Pensacola, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and fire / police facility.

This project consists of repairs and painting for the fire drill tower. Main Street Pensacola, FL 32502 purchasing@cityofpensacola.com 1. General The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the repairs and maintenance of the existing concrete training tower as described herein. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable building codes, OSHA requirements, industry standards, and manufacturer recommendations. 2. Exterior Stair Repairs 2.1 Surface Preparation o Mechanically remove rust and loose paint from all exterior steel stair components, including stringers, treads, landings, railings, and connections. o Surface preparation shall meet SSPC-SP standards appropriate for fieldapplied coatings (minimum SSPC-SP3 Power Tool Cleaning; higher standard if required by coating manufacturer). o Remove all debris and properly dispose of waste materials. o 2.2 Coating Application o Apply one (1) coat of rust-inhibitive primer suitable for exterior steel. o Apply two (2) finish coats of exterior-grade protective coating. o Coating system shall be appropriate for exterior exposure and compatible with prepared substrate. o Color to be selected by Owner. The stairs shall remain safe and serviceable upon completion of work. 3. Rooftop Rappelling Anchor Maintenance 3.1 Surface Preparation o Remove rust from all rappelling anchors and associated exposed steel components. o Prepare surfaces in accordance with coating manufacturer recommendations. 3.2 Coating Application o Apply rust-inhibitive primer and exterior-grade protective topcoat system. o Ensure coating does not interfere with anchor functionality or load-bearing performance. Contractor shall protect surrounding surfaces during preparation and painting operations. 4. Concrete Crack Repair 4.1 Crack Identification o Identify and document all visible hairline cracks in walls and floors of the tower o Clean cracks to remove dirt, debris, and loose material. 4.2 Epoxy Injection o Perform epoxy injection of non-structural and structural hairline cracks in accordance with ASTM C881 and industry best practices. o Injection material shall be low-viscosity epoxy suitable for structural crack repair. o Seal crack surfaces prior to injection as required. o Remove injection ports and patch surfaces to match adjacent concrete finish. The objective is to prevent water infiltration and mitigate reinforcing steel corrosion. 5. Concrete Spall Repair - Northeast Corner (Second Floor) 5.1 Demolition o Remove all loose, delaminated, and deteriorated concrete at the northeast corner near the exterior stair landing. o Saw-cut perimeter of repair area to provide clean repair boundaries. 5.2 Reinforcing Steel Treatment o Expose reinforcing steel as necessary to fully assess corrosion. o Clean exposed reinforcing steel to bare metal. o Apply corrosion-inhibiting coating to reinforcing steel. 5.3 Concrete Restoration o Apply bonding agent as required. o Place repair mortar or structural repair concrete compatible with existing substrate. o Finish repair surface to match existing adjacent concrete texture. o Cure repair material in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. 6. Protection and Safety o Contractor shall implement appropriate safety measures, including fall protection and overhead protection where required. o Work areas shall be secured to prevent unauthorized access during construction. o Contractor shall protect existing structures and adjacent surfaces from damage. 7. Submittals Prior to commencement of work, Contractor shall submit: o Product data sheets for coatings, epoxy injection materials, and repair mortars. o Surface preparation procedures. o Work schedule. o Proof of manufacturer compatibility for repair systems. 8. Cleanup Upon completion of work, Contractor shall: o Remove all debris and construction materials from the site. o Leave the work area clean and free of hazards. o Deliver a final walkthrough with Owner or Owner's representative. deadline for questions writing no later than 10:00 A.M., Central time, May 19, 2026,
