Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in McFarland, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work to be done consists in general of, but is not limited to, installation of hot mix asphalt pavement over compacted aggregate base and compacted native material; construction of curb and gutters, sidewalks, and ADA curb ramps; installing traffic stripes, pavement markings, and roadside signs; installation of landscaping improvements, irrigation lines, and street lights. Other items or details, not mentioned above, that are required by the typical sections, Standard Specifications, or special provisions shall be performed, placed, constructed, or installed. The contractor shall possess a Class A license at the time this contract is awarded. Bids shall conform to and be responsive to the Specifications and Contract Documents for the work as approved by the Agency. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.The range is $2,390,000 to $2,930,000 Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry, in writing before 12 Noon (PST) on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Any such inquiries or questions submitted after bid opening will not be treated as a bid protest. Technical questions or requests for information (RFI's) should be emailed to BHT Engineering, Inc., Contact: Juan M. Pantoja, juan@bhtengineering.com, (661) 558-4641. Responses to RFI, regardless of the source, will be emailed to all bidders. The contract documents are entitled "GARZOLI AVE. PEDESTRIAN / LANDSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS." All contract documents, plans, and specifications must be obtained from the City's Consultant, BHT Engineering, Inc., 218 S. H Street, Suite 203, Bakersfield, CA 93304. Plans and specifications will be available on April 24, 2026, for electronic download at no cost. Upon written request for the electronic bid documents, BHT Engineering, Inc. will add the contractor to the Registered Plan Holders List.
