The work generally consists of maintenance repairs and stream channel debris removal for nine Dauphin County owned bridges. Bid security in the form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted via PennBid. Telephone inquiries are unacceptable. All further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award are contained in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents. Bidders must comply with all State antibid-rigging regulations and must submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid. All public work contractors and subcontractors are required to use the Federal Government's E-Verify system, and all bidders must submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for contract award. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies to this project. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date. Businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be subject to discrimination in consideration for an award. The successful bidder shall not discriminate against or intimidate any employee on account of gender, race, creed, or color. Dauphin County reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids deemed to be in the best interest of Dauphin County, and to reject any or all proposals.
