This is an official notification that the Department of Public Safety of the State of Texas is seeking bids for the roof replacement at the DPS Van Horn Area Office. This section outlines the scope of work included in the project. Refer to the appropriate drawings and specification sections for further information about installation, preparation methods, and components to be provided. The contractor is responsible for including all means and methods necessary to complete this portion of the project. The Contract Documents, otherwise referred to as drawings, shall serve as a part of this scope of work, showing more detail on the intent of this project. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Remove the existing roofing system to the deck, including the existing roof field, insulation, metal edge, flashings, vent stacks, curbing, and all other general rooftop accessories. 2. Verify the integrity of the existing deck. 3. Repair and/or replace the existing deck as required. 4. Install ISO roof insulation as required to meet current state and city energy codes. 5. Install new fully adhered FiberTite roof, including all materials, metal edge, flashing, boots, vent stacks, curbing, gutters, downspouts, and all other general rooftop accessories as needed. 6. Install new walking pads from the roof access to and around existing rooftop units (RTU's). 7. Provide and install new metal roofing - Mueller snap lock 24 gauge (Color: Match coping). 8. Provide and install taper material as needed to comply with the manufacturer's warranty for standing water. 9. Install exterior roof access ladder with secured access. 10. Replace or install new gutters, containment heads, and downspouts. 11. Modify scuppers as needed to allow correct water flow. 12. Provide a minimum of two (2) year Warranty on all installation work. 13. Provide a minimum twenty (20) year NDL manufacturer's warranty on material and workmanship. 14. Provide a turnkey project as indicated on the drawings and as required for the complete project
