The work includes the construction of approximately: 1,200 hours of trainees, 109 each grubbing, 2,086 linear feet of sewer pipe removal, 1,495 square yards of concrete pavement removal, 15,432 square yards of bituminous pavement removal, 14,167 cubic yards of common excavation, 11,915 cubic yards of common embankment, 4,580 cubic yards of aggregate base class 5, 6,995 square yards of 9.0" concrete pavement, 1,785 tons of Type SP 9.5 wearing course mixture, 367 cubic yards of structural concrete (1G52), 610 cubic yards of structural concrete (3G52), precast retaining wall panels (1 lump sum), 4,397 linear feet of RC pipe, 2,067 linear feet of 8" lining sewer pipe, 338 linear feet of watermain, 27,750 square feet concrete walk, 10,540 linear feet concrete curb and gutter, 1,985 square yards of 8" concrete driveway pavement, Lighting System "A" (1 lump sum), Lighting System "B" (1 lump sum), traffic control (1 lump sum), and traffic control signal system (1 lump sum), together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with Plans and Specifications. A bid shall be submitted online no later than the prescribed date and time. Only online electronic bids through QuestCDN are accepted. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. All prospective contractors must comply with the minimum criteria for a "responsible contractor" as defined in Minn. Stat. § 16C.285, subd. 3. A Proposal Bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, drawn in favor of City of Little Canada, shall accompany each bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in their discretion, the interest of the Owner would be best served. Minimum wage requirements and non-discrimination requirements apply, and various federal and state equal opportunity and affirmative action statutes and regulations are incorporated by reference.
