The Town of Barnstable Procurement Office on behalf of the Department of Public Works hereby requests proposals for the FY26 Survey and Design Services - Prince Cove Sewer Expansion Project. LAST DAY TO SUBMIT QUESTIONS NO LATER THAN 12:00 NOON May 11, 2026 TO Design Services Scope of Work The Town has developed a conceptual sewer plan utilizing gravity and low-pressure sewer networks to identify potential pump station sites. The Consultant will evaluate the design provided by the Town, optimize/improve the concept, complete design and permitting, prepare bid documents and provide bidding assistance as defined within the scope of work. Attachment B contains a locus map of the Town indicating a conceptual sewer design layout, identifying the project scope as indicated below: o 11.14 miles of new sewer collection system consisting of a mix of gravity, low pressure, and force main sewers. o The consultant is responsible for evaluating the need for up to three (4) pump stations, highlighted in Attachment B, assessing the feasibility of the proposed location, and, if necessary, recommending alternative sites. o Serve roughly ~470 parcels identified as part of the project. o The consultant shall account for the potential of up to three (3) additional drainage improvement locations during the design phase, based on evaluations conducted during Phase 1 Evaluation. o All coordination, design, and permitting are associated with any required utility relocations within the project. The following proposed scope of work items are suggested to accomplish the intentstated above. The Town welcomes the Consultant to propose improvements to this scope based on their experience and proposed project approach.
