The project involves traffic signal retiming and optimization along two corridors: NYS Route 7 from 8th Street to Brunswick Drive, and US Route 4 from Walmart Driveway to Bloomingrove Drive, covering various areas in Rensselaer County, including the City of Troy, the Town of Brunswick, and the Towns of East and North Greenbush. The scope of work includes 24-hour continuous volume and vehicular classification data at eight locations, turning movement counts at twelve locations, and the provision of basic work zone traffic control for the installation of traffic count collection equipment. The subcontractor is responsible for work zone traffic control in accordance with relevant standards, utility stake-out, any permits or fees as required, and ensuring all field personnel wear appropriate safety gear. Bidders are asked to submit a proposal and schedule of fees, broken down by location and inclusive of all services such as mobilization, data collection, demobilization, work zone traffic control, and data summaries.
