The work consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon and Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacon installations at 11 locations. Sealed bids will be received for this project. A Bid Bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid must be submitted with each Bid. A one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond will also be required of the successful Bidder. Bidders must obtain complete sets of drawings and Contract Documents and assume responsibility for any errors or omissions in Bids prepared based on incomplete documents. The participation goals for this contract are: fifteen percent (15%) for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), eight percent (8%) for Women Business Enterprise (WBE), three percent (3%) for Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE), and one percent (1%) for Disability-owned Business Enterprise (DOBE). All Bidders will be subject to the MBE/WBE/VBE/DOBE Business Utilization Plan and the City will consider each Bidder's Affirmative Action plan. The City of Indianapolis reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities and to accept the bid it deems most favorable to its interests after examining all bids.
