Site work and new construction of a recreation facility in Orlando, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a recreation facility.

The City shall not be responsible for any submission delays or failures. Respondents are expected to examine this solicitation, specifications, associated drawings, if any, and all instructions. Question Submission Deadline:May 18, 2026, 5:00pm A. The Event Center is envisioned as a natural extension of the Sports & Entertainment District in Orlando. Positioned adjacent to Camping World Stadium, its surrounding fields, and Lake Lorna Doone, the facility is embedded within an already active recreational landscape. Moving east along Church Street, the Event Center strengthens its connection to the broader district, linking to Inter & Co Stadium and the Kia Center. In this context, Church Street serves as a dynamic spine--energizing the area'sidentity as a destination for athletics, events, and community gathering--while the new Event Center takes its place among these established venues. B. This Project consists of the development of the approximately 140,000-square-foot facility, situated on a four-acre site. At its core, the building is organized around a central field house that accommodates a wide range of multi-sport activities and civic events. Supporting this primary space are key program elements including a welcoming main lobby, concessions, flexible locker rooms, viewing mezzanine, adaptive banquet and event hall, and essential back-of-house functions. Together, these components create a cohesive and adaptable environment capable of serving both large-scale events and private, boutique offerings. C. Through a series of programming studies, design iterations, and stakeholder coordination meetings, the project has been carefully refined to align with both the operational goals and budgetary parameters of stakeholders. The result is a thoughtfully resolved design that balances performance, flexibility, and user experience. D. The attached Design Criteria Package (Exhibit "E" - Design Criteria Package) communicates the foundational elements of the project, including applicable codes, the confirmed program, narratives, building design, and specifications. Collectively, these materials communicate a clear vision for the building's design intent, operational functionality, and long-term performance objectives.
