Renovation of a stadium in Augusta, Georgia. Working plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
*As of May 26, 2026 this project has been cancelled and no plan rebidding at this time* This project addresses the reroofing of Christenberry Field House at Augusta University. The scope of work includes removing and disposing of existing roofing components down to the existing steel deck, installation of new insulation and 60 mil PVC KEE membrane, and the installation of new metal coping and counterflashing. Reference bid documents for a full description of the scope of work. Question Deadline 05/22/2026 No oral interpretation will be made to bidders as to the meaning of the drawings and specifications. Requests for interpretation of drawings and specifications must be made in writing to the Design Professional not later than six days prior to the date set for receipt of the bids. The following scope of work does not indicate the sequence in which the roof should be installed. 1. Roof Area A: a. Contractor is to verify that all roof drains are free of debris and free flowing prior to the start of work and at the end of the project. The owner and Architect are to be notified of any drainage-related issues. b. Remove and dispose of the existing roofing components to the steel deck. c. Remove and dispose of all existing wall flashings. d. Carefully remove the existing coping cap and attached lightning protection system. Set aside for later reinstallation. e. Remove and dispose of existing metal counterflashings. f. Inspect the steel deck; replace or repair any substandard steel decking (unit price). g. Loose-lay 1/2 " gypsum substrate board. h. Mechanically fasten two layers of 2" polyisocyanurate insulation and the 1/2 " gypsum substrate board to the steel deck. i. Adhere insulation crickets to roof insulation with insulation adhesive in locations indicated on drawings. j. All roof drains are to receive 4' x 4' tapered sumps. k. Adhere 1/2 " gypsum coverboard in low-rise adhesive. l. Fully adhere 60 mil fleece-backed PVC KEE membrane in low-rise adhesive. m. Adhere 60 mil PVC KEE membrane base flashings to parapet walls. n. Install new pitch pans and sheet metal hoods as indicated on the drawings. o. Install new wood nailers to the top of the parapet walls; ensure the new coping cap will drain toward the roof surface. p. Re-install metal coping cap. Re-install lightning protection system and recertify. q. Install new counterflashings on walls and curbs.
