The Carroll school is a historical building owened by the Rock Hil School District for educational experiences outside the classroom. PROJECT OVERVIEW The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete exterior demolition, structural repairs, installation of new building components, and finishing work at Carroll School. All work shall comply with applicable codes and standards. 2. DEMOLITION Remove and dispose of existing siding and damaged wood. Provide dumpsters and maintain safe, clean work areas. 3. STRUCTURAL FRAMING REPAIRS Replace approximately 30 wall studs and 60 linear feet of sill plate. Install OSB sheathing on repaired sections. 4. WEATHER BARRIER SYSTEM Install commercial-grade house wrap with sealed seams and penetrations. 5. EXTERIOR WALL SYSTEM (SIDING) Install fiber cement siding (Hardie or equal) with trim, flashing, and accessories. 6. WINDOWS Install 22 windows (3'0" x 7'6") and 2 windows (3'0" x 5'6") with flashing and sealing. 7. DOORS Install one double door and one single fiberglass door with hardware and weatherproofing. 8. INSULATION Install R-13 batt insulation in all exterior walls. 9. VAPOR BARRIER Install plastic vapor barrier in crawl space. 10. VENTILATION Install 4 electric foundation vents and 4 gable vents with required electrical work. 11. EXTERIOR FEATURES Install awning, handrails, and tongue-and-groove porch ceiling. 12. PAINTING Paint all exterior surfaces which includes siding, doors, trim, and features. 13. SAFETY Provide temporary fencing and maintain ADA access at all times. 14. EQUIPMENT & SUPERVISION Provide necessary equipment and full-time supervision. 15. CLEANUP Provide ongoing and final site cleanup. 16. PROJECT DURATION Estimated duration is approximately 8 weeks.
