Sealed bids are invited for a project involving the installation of approximately 5,806 linear feet of 12" PVC waterline and all necessary appurtenances for the East Texas Municipal Utility District. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available for examination and purchase. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, Certified or Cashier's Check in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid as a guarantee. Not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate must be paid on this project. The successful bidder must not discriminate in employment practices and must comply with various federal, state, and local requirements, including the American Iron and Steel requirements and Build America, Buy America Act. The project is subject to the Environmental Protection Agency's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program and affirmative action/equal opportunity employment requirements. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 60 days from the date bids are open. The contract is contingent upon the release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board. Bidders must also comply with applicable Davis-Bacon wage rate requirements, contract clauses, and additional federal oversight as provided in the bid documents.
