Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) is seeking bids for groundcover bark at the 2050 Massachusetts Avenue San Bernardino Community Wellness Center. 1. Contractor Responsibilities: a) Contractor shall be responsible for the measurement of all designated areas at the time of the mandatory job walk. b) Contactor shall remove all existing bark, litter, weeds, and plant debris from the designated areas before installation of new bark. c) Contractor shall be responsible for the disposal of all existing bark, litter, weeds, and plant debris removed from the existing designated area off-site. d) Contactor shall furnish and install a minimum layer of 2" thick Medium Bark throughout the designated areas. e) Contactor shall be responsible for the placing of the bark in such a manner as to prevent the scatter of the bark by the effects of wind and/or weather. f) Contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all debris from the site and cleaning of work areas. g) Contractor shall keep the premises free of debris and unusable materials resulting from their work and as work progresses. h) Contractor shall, upon the request of IEHP Facilities staff, remove all such debris and materials from property. i) Contractor shall meet with IEHP project manager prior to work commencing and submit a work schedule/plan. j) Upon completion of all work, all surrounding areas shall be broom swept and/or blown off for a presentable appearance daily. k) All existing conditions to remain shall be protected during the work. l) Contractor shall minimize damage to existing landscaping. m) Contractor shall notify IEHP's Project Manager of any damage to existing landscaping to remain due toContractor's work.Damage to existing landscaping to remain must be replaced in kind by Contractor within seventy-two (72) hours or, at minimum, a time/day set forth by IEHP's Project Manager.
