The Lower Neches Valley Authority (LNVA) is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to provide professional engineering services for the evaluation and potential improvement of process piping systems at two pumping plant facilities, the Neches 1st and Neches 2nd pumping plants. Both plants contain six process piping systems that transport cooling water, fuel gas, compressed air, vacuum system water, jacket water, and engine lube oil. The project will be performed in a phased approach. Phase 1 includes evaluation of existing systems, field verification, condition assessment, identifying deficiencies, and developing conceptual improvement alternatives with cost opinions. Phase 2, to be authorized at LNVA's discretion, will involve the development of a preliminary design concept for a selected alternative.
