The scope of work generally consists of the replacement of one existing 100 hp and one existing 300 hp pump with 200 hp and 600 hp pumps respectively, installing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), electrical, and HVAC equipment, and making piping improvements at the Southwest Pipeline Project's existing intake facilities on Renner Bay, Lake Sakakawea, Mercer County, ND. Separate bid schedules and scopes of work are provided for General, Mechanical, and Electrical Contracts. A Combined Single Bid is also provided to encompass all individual scopes of work. General Construction includes removing specified pumps and piping, installing owner-purchased pumps and valves, furnishing and installing piping, flow meters, pressure gauges, air release valves, support pads, pads for VFDs and switchboard, bollards, replacement of an air release valve, site restoration, and gravel surfacing. Mechanical Construction includes removal of air handling units, installation of water source heat pumps with plumbing and controls, repositioning of an electric heater, installation of a 2000-gallon holding tank with anti-flotation pad and related piping. Electrical Construction includes replacement of lighting fixtures, installation and wiring of electrical items, VFDs, transformer, switchboard, performing protective device studies and field testing of equipment and generator. Bidders are required to submit a current valid North Dakota Contractor's License, a bid bond equal to five percent of the bid, and proof of qualification. All bids must be cash payment for the work. The Owner reserves the right to award based on the lowest responsive bid in the best interest of the Owner, and to reject any or all bids, considering other factors as well. The Owner may hold bids for sixty calendar days after opening. Completion date of June 30, 2027 A pre-bid conference will NOT be held.
