Site work for a pipeline in Utica, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a pipeline.
The work involves providing engineering services for the Town's application to the U.S. Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration to address issues with the aging gas pipeline infrastructure. The scope of work includes preparing plans and specifications, distributing bid documents, assisting in bid opening and preparing bid tabulation, assisting in the execution of construction contracts, holding pre-construction conferences, performing construction inspection with periodic reports to the town, and approving all payment requests. The engineer will also assist in gathering documentation of the need for improvements to the infrastructure. Proposals must address the following factors: qualifications of the assigned personnel, experience of the firm including past projects and grant awards, and capacity for performance with identification of staff assigned to the project. Five copies of the proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “USDOT PHMSA Engineering Services.” The evaluation will consider qualifications, experience, and capacity for performance, with points assigned to each factor.
