The project sites are the Wheaton Middle Schools located at Franklin Middle School - 211 East Franklin Street Edison Middle School - 125 South Wheaton Avenue Monroe Middle School - 1855 Manchester Road This Work Plan requests bids from Illinois Department of Public Health licensed Contractors for the following items, as indicated on the attached drawings: Franklin - potential mini containments for bathrooms Edison - potential 2 mini containments for bathrooms Madison - potential 8 mini containments for bathrooms, removal of black countertops in classrooms 95, 101, 102, 103, 104, non-friable removal of 12" x 12" brown floor tile/black mastic via non-friable techniques in classrooms 101, 102, 103, 104 and two lab prep rooms (estimated 900 square feet) and East facing exterior windows in classrooms 106, 108, 110 and 112. The removal and proper disposal of asbestos-containing materials located in the Wheaton Middle Schools as indicated in this Work Plan and the attached construction drawings. Activities by the Contractor shall be performed in accordance with applicable local, federal and state regulations. All quantities are estimates and it is the Contractor's responsibility to verify. The project consists of asbestos abatement at the Edison, Franklin and Monroe Middle Schools. Work includes pipe insulation and floor tile and mastic abatement.
