Request for Bids (RFB) for rehabilitation and stabilization of the Gooseneck Lake Dam. The dam is located in the Municipality of Whitestone at the northwest outlet of Gooseneck Lake located off of Aulds Road, approximately 1.6 km west of Highway 520. Scope of Work The purpose of the project is to preserve the functionality and extend the useful life of the dam. Condition inspection and dam safety studies have identified the need for repairs and improvements. The Ministry of Natural Resources is seeking a contractor to prepare a laydown area and install cofferdams, concrete removals, new concrete placement, rehabilitate existing concrete, install post-tensioned anchors, and install new guardrails. The scope of work generally includes: Preparing general site access and laydown area. Installing temporary work platforms and scaffolding. Installing temporary environmental controls and cofferdams. Clearing of trees and vegetation in the area of work. Rehabilitation and crack repairs for the: East Wingwall; Left Overflow Weir; and West Wingwall. Reconfigure the existing spillway block through: Removal of existing guardrails and winches; Removal of the concrete deck; Removal of portions of the piers; Refacing concrete surfaces; Removal of timber stoplogs; and Constructing a new concrete overflow section between the former piers.
