Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Windermere, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project consists of roadway improvements and utility improvements along Reams Road, from Summerlake Park Boulevard to Taborfield Avenue. ROADWAY SCOPE The proposed project includes the reconstruction of Reams Road from south of Summerlake Park Blvd. to Taborfield Avenue. The existing 2-lane rural roadway will be improved to a 4-lane divided urban facility with a paved trail on one side and a sidewalk along the other side. The project includes traffic signals at Oasis Cove Boulevard/Torcello Isle Drive, Floridian Place/Buena Place, Center Drive, Newmarket Drive/Bay Court, and Taborfield Avenue. Milling and resurfacing of the existing pavement east of Taborfield Avenue is required to remove existing transition striping. Drainage improvements, including the construction of six ponds, are a part of this project. The project length is approximately 16,848 linear feet (3.19 miles). UTILITY SCOPE Orange County Utilities work along Reams Road from south of Summerlake Park Boulevard to Taborfield Avenue consists of: replacement of approximately 15,000 linear feet of the County's existing force main with new force main ranging in size from 4-inch to 24-inch, approximately 13,500 lineal feet of the County's water main with new water main ranging in size from 8-inch to 24-inch, and approximately 6,000 lineal feet of the County's reclaimed water main with new reclaimed water main ranging in size from 8-inch to 16-inch along the project corridor. The Board of County Commissioners will award a Contract to the low, responsive and responsible Respondent, price and other factors considered. The County will award one Contract for this requirement. The Board of County Commissioners, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality concerning bid proposals whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the County. The ability of a Respondent to obtain a performance bond and a payment bond shall not be regarded as the sole test of such Respondent's competency or responsibility. Nothing contained herein shall place a duty upon the County to reject bids or award a Contract based upon anything other than its sole discretion as described herein.
