The RFP is an invitation to submit offers for the provision of the supply and install of a commercial-grade 3D printing system with continuous fiber reinforcement. Western University seeks to procure a commercial-grade 3D printing system capable of producing thermoplastic parts reinforced with continuous fibers such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar. The system must be capable of manufacturing high-strength composite components suitable for functional prototyping, tooling, and end-use mechanical parts within an industrial additive manufacturing environment.
