Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The proposed project includes the reconstruction of North Main Street, including but not limited to: removing 6,200 square yards of existing pavement; relaying the existing sanitary sewer with 1,900 feet of 8" PVC sewer; relaying the existing cast iron watermain with 1,900 feet of 6" and 8" CPVC watermain with valves and hydrants; removing and replacing curb and gutter and sidewalks; installing new road base with asphalt pavement; replacing sewer and water laterals; installing erosion control; installing traffic control; and performing yard restoration. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner. This project will be funded in part by funds from the Community Development Block Grant program and Wisconsin DNR Safe Drinking Water Loan Program and is subject to Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) and federal wage determinations. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract in accordance with federal labor standards (DBRA), Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act domestic procurement, Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 Section 3 (24 CFR 75), Section 109, and E.O. 11246. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBEs) are encouraged to submit bid proposals. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
