The work for which proposals are invited consists of the removal of the current drywell pumping system with low efficiency self-priming pumps and replacement with high efficiency submersible pump system that can be placed in the existing wet well; adding an independent valve vault with an emergency pump connection point; upgrading of all controls with the addition of a backup generator connection point; and modification to the existing wet well to eliminate the potential for sanitary sewer overflow (SSOs). Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on the projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. The Owner intends and requires that the project be completed no later than August 31, 2027. The Lakengren Water Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities in the bidding, and to enter into a contract with the bidder whom in their consideration offered the lowest and best proposal.
