Sealed proposals are requested for culvert replacement. Specifications, bid blanks, and further information are available from the Eaton County Road Commission office or by email. All proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the bidder's name and service or material indicated. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and make the award in the best interest of the County of Eaton. The Eaton County Road Commission (ECRC) is requesting bids to perform culvert replacements at the following locations (see location map). o Wolf Hwy over the Peacock, (Carter) & Reese Drain, 1326' west of Royston Rd, Brookfield Twp o Shaytown Rd over the Pinnock Drain, 1716' north of Kalamo Hwy, Kalamo Twp Description Culvert installation shall follow the National Corrugated Steel Pipe Association Installation Manual for Corrugated Steel Pipe, the 2020 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction, and as specified herein. Where conflicts in specifications exist, this proposal will govern. The installation work includes excavation, water control, placing culvert bedding, placing the culvert, backfilling, compacting, placing aggregate base to match the existing road surface, installing riprap, slope restoration, placing road surface and/or base gravel, and erosion control. All work shall be completed no later than July 31, 2026.
