Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Huntsville, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Question Deadline 05/13/2026 at 10:00 AM CT All questions concerning this solicitation should be directed to the Purchasing Department via email at purchasing@huntsvilletx.gov. The objective of this solicitation is to repair the drainage at the 1900 Block of 19th Street, Huntsville, Texas. Rather than focusing solely on the lowest price, the evaluation considers factors like product durability, vendor performance, availability, and delivery, ensuring long-term efficiency, reduced downtime, and overall value for the organization. The City of Huntsville is requesting solicitations to repair the drainage at the 1900 Block of 19th Street, Huntsville, Texas. The Vendor must meet the following requirements at minimum: _ Construct a concrete structural support beam to stabilize 2 existing box culverts under 19th Street. Must be of appropriate size. _ Place approximately 150 cubic yards of common fill material to construct a concrete floor to establish positive drainage at the downstream outfall of the box culverts. _ Construct structural wing walls for erosion prevention and containment of flow. _ Place approximately 100 tons of 18" riprap for backfill and erosion prevention behind wingwalls and in front of concrete floor. _ All concrete construction shall be reinforced with rebar of appropriate size and spacing for the structure. _ A temporary construction easement has been obtained from the property owner to eliminate most of the work on the street side. The temporary working easement will need clearing before and restored after the construction. Restoration shall consist of leveling and hydroseeding the disturbed area. Erosion control such as silt fencing shall be in place during and after construction. _ Removing and replacing the existing handrail and sidewalk, if either is damaged during the project. _ Provide a written plan, explaining course of work, dimensions, and materials to be used for the project. An estimated timeline for the project shall be included. _ Responsible for all necessary traffic control devices to ensure a safe work zone for workers, pedestrians, and motorists. _ Vendor must be bonded and insured to work for the City of Huntsville. _ Provide a one-year warranty for the work performed.
