The project consists of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation for 4,500 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer pipe and 3,000 linear feet of 10-inch gravity sewer pipe, 260 vertical feet of manhole repair and rehabilitation with a corrosion-resistant liner, and reconnection of approximately 95 services with CIPP T-Liner on the southern side of US Highway 80 in Demopolis. The project must be substantially completed within 120 calendar days after the contract start date and fully completed and ready for final payment within 150 days. Bidders must be properly licensed contractors, carry the MU classification as listed in the latest edition of the Roster of the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, and provide evidence of such licensing. Bidders must deposit security with their bids in the amount, form, and conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Nonresident contractors must submit evidence of proper registration with the Alabama Secretary of State and a Certificate of Good Standing from the Alabama Department of Revenue. Preference will be given to resident contractors as required by Alabama law. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the lowest and most responsible bidder.
