This project is for the Vince Bayou Greenway Trail Phase I. A. Construction of a reinforced concrete Hike and Bike Trail, including clearing and grubbing, soil stabilization, pre-fabricated pedestrian bridge, culverts, seatwalls, monument walls, concrete boardwalk, solar lighting, wood bollards, site furnishing, removable bollards, sodding and planting. The project also includes installation and maintenance of erosion control devices and construction/adjustment of drainage systems. B. Sidewalks, trail, and wheelchair ramps shall comply with current Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requirements. C. Contractor will be responsible to provide plant protection in accordance with the plans and specifications. D. Contractor will be responsible to implement the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for the Vince Bayou Greenway - Memorial Park to Harris Ave. and use best practices during construction. Project construction activities will disturb an area greater than 5 acres. See Section 01410 - TPDES Requirements. Contractor shall be responsible for all fees, including notices, fillings and permits associated with SWPPP and TPDES requirements at no additional cost to HPB. The Cash Allowance for TPDES permits is limited to the application fee for the Notice of Intent for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction Activity under TPDES General Permit. E. The Contractor will be responsible to obtain all necessary permits, including but not limited to: lane closures and street cut. Permits that are required and are not paid under Cash Allowances are incidental to all other pay items and are at no additional cost to the City of Pasadena. F. Contractor is to comply with O.S.H.A regulations and state of Texas law concerning excavation, trenching and shoring. G. Contractor will be responsible to use caution and due diligence where the proposed improvements are in proximity to existing private or public utilities including gas lines, water lines, wastewater lines, buried or overhead cables, etc., so as to not adversely impact such utilities within the project area. Contractor will contact and coordinate with private utility agencies whose facilities may be impacted by the proposed improvements, as required. H. Existing overhead power lines are located within the project vicinity. The Contractor should use extreme caution when working around these overhead power lines. I. Before beginning of work, take video and photographs of entire project site to establish a record for a site condition before construction. J. Work items may be underutilized, fully utilized or exceeded depending upon work required during the term of the contract. K. The work shall be performed according to City of Pasadena standard specifications and as mentioned in the construction manual. L. It is further understood that the quantities of work to be done and materials to be furnished may be increased or diminished as may be considered necessary, in the opinion of the Engineer, to complete the work fully as planned and contemplated and that all quantities of work, whether increased or decreased, are to be performed at the unit prices set forth except as provided for in the specifications. M. All work and disposal of materialsshall be performed in strict compliance with all applicable federal, state and local statues. N. Contractor to provide all logos for project signs. City will provide electronic files for logo production.
