The Project consists of a comprehensive roof replacement, including the removal of existing asphalt shingle, EPDM, and standing seam metal roofing systems, along with existing rooftop mechanical equipment. Work includes installation of new asphalt shingle, TPO, and standing seam roofing systems with tapered and non-tapered insulation and recovery board, as well as replacement and upgrades to roof drainage components, edge metal, and overflow systems to meet current code requirements. The Project also includes installation of new rooftop mechanical equipment in-kind to existing, extension of plumbing vents, and installation of curbs and penetrations as required. Additional work includes replacement of roof access elements such as ladders and hatches, installation of new safety railings, modifications to flashing to accommodate increased insulation and meet IECC requirements, installation of a new lightning protection system, and structural and electrical provisions to support a solar-ready condition for the gymnasium roof.
