The City of Joliet is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Southeast Joliet Sanitary District Water System Improvements Contract No. 2980-0626 The Project includes the following Work: approximately 7,200 lineal feet of 8-inch water main, including new hydrants, water services, and valves, and other miscellaneous items of work. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the City of Joliet for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be supported, in whole or in part, by an intergovernmental agreement between the City of Joliet and the County of Will, Illinois. Neither Will County nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this invitation for bids or any resulting contract. The procurement will be subject to regulations contained in, the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise policy per 40 CFR Part 33, as amended, and the "Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards" requirements as contained in 2 CFR Part 200. This procurement is also subject to the award recipient's policy regarding the increased use of disadvantaged business enterprises.
