The project consists of roadway reconstruction for Eugene Garrett Road (South End). Bidders are to submit sealed bids addressed as specified, with all required documentation, including bid form, bid bond or a certified or cashier's check, certificate of corporate principal and surety, and a resolution authorizing a signatory. The contractor must have the appropriate Louisiana State Contractor's Board license classification for Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. All bids must be submitted on the proper form and display the contractor's license number on the envelope. All addenda must be acknowledged, and no bids may be withdrawn within forty-five days after opening. The project is tax exempt. Bidders must be registered with the Engineer and may examine or obtain documents as specified. The owner reserves the right to reject bids for just cause according to Louisiana law. Security for bids, including acceptable sureties, must be included. The contractor must begin mobilization and procurement of materials within ten working days of the Notice to Proceed.
