Sealed bids are requested for the Sand Creek Intermediate Chiller Replacement at Sand Creek Intermediate School. The project will be completed under a Single Prime Contract on a lump sum basis, requiring inclusion of all labor, materials, and services to fully complete the work in accordance with the Construction Drawings and Project Manual. Bidders and their subcontractors must be certified and comply with the Indiana General Assembly’s House Enrollment Act #1019. Bids must be submitted on the provided Bid Form and Indiana State Board of Accounts Form No. 96, including all required financial data and a signed Affidavit of Non-Collusion. Submissions must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project and bidder identification. Substitutions for specified items or materials may only be made with written approval from the Architect/Engineer prior to bid opening, and must be identified by name, kind, and type within the bid. A contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, though the owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent of the base bid, in the form of a certified check or bid bond. Upon acceptance, the successful bidder will be required to provide a 100% Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond. All costs for bonds must be included in the bid. The contract will include provisions prohibiting discrimination based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, or ancestry, and the contractor will need to provide ongoing affidavits ensuring compliance.
