Remodeling of a fire / police facility in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the remodel of a fire / police facility.
The City of Cambridge invites bids for Fire Department - Indoor Historical Panels, including fabrication and installation. Fire Department Headquarters, Historical Panel Fabrication & Installation, Specifications: Historical Panels: 8 printed, laminated acrylic panels, each: 66"H x 40"W x 5/16"D Wall Labels: 3 printed, laminated acrylic panels, each: 8.5"H x 11"W x 5/16"D Substrate: 1/16" thick nonglare acrylic mounted to 1/4 " thick black acrylic Finish: Print 2nd surface to non-glare, mount to black acrylic. Drill holes to fit mounting standoffs. Mounting: with aluminum standoffs for mounting on interior gypsum wall board or CMU masonry wall (see architect's floor plans and elevation details). See attachment for comparable standoffs. Spacing and finish of standoffs TBD by city + installer. Proofs: Fabricator to consult with Arts Council to finalize specifications and then provide sample and proofs for approval prior to production. Artwork provided by designer, fabricator to consult on specifications for production-ready files.
