Renovation of a military facility in Cortez, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The project involves a full design-build recapitalization of waterfront structures at U.S. Coast Guard Station Cortez, Florida. The base scope includes replacing small boat timber piers, floating docks, gangways, and associated utility lines, along with all required design, permitting, materials, labor, and construction services. An optional scope adds the design and construction of a new bulkhead system, including demolition and replacement of approximately 380 feet of existing waterfront bulkhead using sheet piles and a concrete cap, with all supporting services such as mobilization, quality control, and permitting. Period of Performance: The contract performance period is 707 calendar days after award of the Task Order for the Base and all Option Items. If awarded, the Option Items shall be completed within the contract completion date. Liquidated Damages: Liquidated damages in the amount of $3,980.00 per day will be assessed, if necessary, in accordance RFO 52.211-12, Liquidated Damages-Construction (SEPT 2000).
