Work consists of the installation of new water mains as detailed on the plans. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, using the form stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond as described in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA. R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. The provisions and requirements of LA. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1) and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity. Article 6 of the General Conditions, as may be modified by the Supplementary Conditions, sets forth requirements as to performance and payment bonds, other required bonds (if any), and insurance. When the successful bidder delivers the executed agreement to the owner, it must be accompanied by required bonds and insurance documentation, using the forms included in the Bidding Documents.
