Description

Renovation of a municipal facility in Highland Springs, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

This project would replace the entire HVAC system at Firehouse 3 (1310 E. Washington Street) and Firehouse 9 (941 Quioccasin Road), which were both built in 2013. A new commercial grade system consisting of ductwork, air handling and condensing units, filtration, and condensate drainage will provide a high level of active dehumidification and building pressurization. The project also includes a building automation system (BAS) to provide controls, scheduling, and alarming of the equipment. Planning and Design cost for each firehouse is $90,000. Construction cost for each firehouse is $1,500,000. The project is included in the County 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of May 2,2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
