Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Independence, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The District intends to secure services to replace and/or install pumps, drives and other equipment to rehabilitate the South NPW Pump Station at the Atherton Wastewater Treatment Plant, 21208 East Old Atherton Road, Independence, Missouri, as indicated in these specifications and on the attached drawings. The specifications are attached hereto and made a part hereof. Direct all questions regarding this bid to Bill Perkins at 816 299-4620, or Tammy Prater at 816 299-4624. The Work shall be required to follow a specified progression order to maintain service, this progression may be altered during the project if existing pump conditions or plant operations change. The Work shall include demo of existing equipment and building modifications including relocation o f an air compressor, and removal of other equipment removed from service . The Work is centered around installation of a vertical turbine pump in slot Pump #3 with installation of related VFD and controls to completio n before work on any other pump. After the Work on Pump #3, the Work shall progress to replacement of Pump #1 with installation of related VFD and controls to completion before work on any other pump. After completion of Pump #1, the work shall progress with installation of VFD and controls for Pump #2 to completion. If the Add Alternative bid is accepted the Work will progress with replacement of Pump #4 with installation of related VFD and controls to completion of the South NPW Pump Station Rehabilitation
