The intent is to obtain an offer to perform work to complete building envelope upgrades in accordance with specified contract documents. The Calgary Board of Education is installing a new video surveillance technology (VST) solution at multiple school sites within Calgary. The work includes a coordinated effort by both the security vendor and the electrical contractor. The general scope of system upgrades includes: supplying, installation, and testing of new Cat 6 cabling and conduit from camera locations to data closets (with possible repurposing of existing Cat 5 cabling and conduit as determined by testing); installation and provisioning of new security cameras (by the security vendor); removal of legacy security cameras and peripherals (by the security vendor); and demolition of existing conduit and cabling associated with the legacy solution as specified, with the extent determined site-by-site (by the security vendor).
