Conversion of a basement mechanical space to a finished meeting space and expanded lower-level lobby with alternates for new restroom, backstage canteen, and laundry. The project requires furnishing all necessary and required labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and the complete performance of all work shown and specified in the contracts. Bids shall be submitted for general contractor/construction, which includes selective demolition, abatement, general construction, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, telecommunications, and data. Bidders are responsible for paying for and securing bid documents from designated sources. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their trades and able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. A bid bond, performance bond, separate labor and material payment bond, and insurance acceptable to the owner will be required of the successful bidder. Bidders must comply with Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates, the Davis-Bacon Act, and other provisions of the ARPA Grant as indicated in the bid documents. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the base bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the instructions and supplementary general conditions. Bids must be submitted by sealed envelope and will be opened privately. The bid is firm, binding, and irrevocable for sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The project is funded in part through the Covid-19 ARPA Capital Projects Fund Multi-Purpose Community Facilities Program.
