Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in New Orleans, Louisiana. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of the construction of a new, fully functional maintenance building to support lock operations and maintenance activities at the Algiers Lock. The project includes selective demolition and construction of a new metal maintenance building supported by a cast-in-place concrete foundation. Work also includes installation of complete electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; structural excavation and placement of fill; driving prestressed concrete piles; removal and replacement of asphaltic concrete pavement including subbase and base courses; fertilizing, seeding, and mulching; installation of ductile iron waterline and sanitary sewer; and all other related incidental work necessary to deliver a complete and operational maintenance facility. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
