The work consists of replacing Existing Chiller 1 with a new air cooled chiller at 160 West Campus Drive, Destrehan, LA 70047. Bids must be submitted as separate sealed Bids to the specified St. Charles Parish address, either by registered or certified mail, hand-delivered, or electronically submitted. All bids are subject to the Public Bid Law, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to disregard all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. The Bidding Documents are available for properly licensed Louisiana Contractors or bona fide suppliers of materials and equipment for purchase and/or review at the Engineer's office. A payment of $300 in cash or check payable to the Engineer is required for each complete set of Bidding Documents, refundable as provided by law. Each bidder must provide a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. For electronic submissions using a certified or cashier's check, the check must be delivered to the St. Charles Parish Council Records Office. The bid envelope must have the submitting firm's name, Louisiana Contractors License Number, the St. Charles Parish Project Number, and the St. Charles Parish Project Title. St. Charles Parish encourages participation from all small, minority-owned firms, and women's business enterprises. All purchases for this project are exempt from state sales and use tax as per statute, with the Contractor responsible for compliance with the statute and all other applicable taxes.
