Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in El Cajon, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; 6,077-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The Work Of This Contract Includes Providing All Labor, Materials, Equipment And Services Necessary For The Demolition Of (3) Portable Classrooms, Construction Of (1) New Single Story Wood Framed Structure (6,077 Sf) Containing (3) Classrooms And (1) Community Resource And Training Center And Alterations To The Site Landscaping At The El Cajon Valley High School, Including The Construction Of A New Parking Lot, Within The 'limit Of Work' Area. The General Contractor Shall Thoroughly Review The Plans And Specifications Him/herself And With All Trades And Accepts The Materials, Systems, Details, And Assemblies As Being Constructible And Can Be Warranted For A Time Period Consistent With Industry Standards; Unless A Specific Time Period Is Noted Herein. New Community Resource building with three classrooms, restroom, and support space. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. DVBE: This bid is subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements. Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. District is required to have 3% percentage each year. Bidder must provide a DVBE prime or subcontractor at 3% or complete the Good Faith Efforts package. Construction Manager will place a DVBE ad. All paperwork is due at time of bid. Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if awarded to the bidder, and will provide the performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates and other documents described in the Contract Documents. Such security must be in one of the following forms: (1) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (2) a certified check made payable to the District; or (3) a bond made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Any bond must have been issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120 The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The forms of the bonds are set forth in the Contract Documents and all bonds must be issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. If a bidder is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Contract Documents, or finds discrepancies in or omissions from the drawings and specifications, the bidder may submit to the District a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof.
