Renovation of an office development in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a office development.
In general, the work consists of replacing the existing fire alarm system with a new fire alarm system. All potential bidders must become certified by the Department of Administration prior to submitting bids for state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. Bids received from non-certified contractors will be rejected. Certification applications and instructions are available from the DOA website or upon request. Sealed bids may be submitted as a PDF scanned file of all required bid documents, including bid and bid bond forms with original wet signatures or properly transmitted electronic signatures, via the eBuilder Bidding Portal (preferred); by US Mail or third-party delivery to the specified address; or by hand delivery to the specified drop box. The bidder is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of the sealed bid to the indicated location or via the eBuilder Bid Portal. Third party delivery is at the bidder's risk. Construction bidding documents (drawings, specifications, and addenda) are available only as downloadable electronic files in PDF format from the Division of Facilities Development website and may also be available at various Builders' Exchanges. Additional project bidding information, including plan holders lists, is available on the Division of Facilities Development public website. No deposit is required to obtain documents for bidding purposes. Contract offer and construction phase records will be processed electronically via eBuilder. The 5% permissive bidding preference for certified minority businesses is currently paused. Bidding documents are available online immediately upon the project being advertised for bid.
