Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and office development.

Help build the future of skilled trades experiences for junior high and high school kids in Alberta. The Alberta Trades Discovery Centre (ATDC) is requesting proposals for a design-build service to construct tenant improvements in a leased commercial bay in Calgary. The centre will be a destination for groups of students to engage in facilitated, hands-on experiences in more than 20 different construction trades, guided by experienced trades professionals. The ATDC supports the next generation of skilled trades workers by providing a dedicated, professional space where students can explore multiple construction trades, learn directly from experienced tradespeople and discover what they're good at and what they enjoy. This project will see one portion of a commercial warehouse space renovated and finished to include sufficient office, classroom, ready room, infirmary, storage, and lavatory spaces to accommodate a small operational and administrative staff and groups of up to 50 guests at a time.
