Site work and paving for a road / highway in Norwalk, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The City of University Place solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in material testing services for the construction phase of the Cirque Drive Overlay Project. The contract type will be negotiated hourly rate. The project will provide asphalt overlay on Cirque Drive between 67th Avenue W and S Orchard Street, update ADA facilities as required, adjust utility structures as needed to accommodate the overlay thickness, and includes a minor amount of dig-out and minor replacement of pavement (less than 10% of total area). Existing pavement will be ground at curb lines to match into existing gutters and the roadway will be striped. The consultant's work consists of providing on-call material testing for subgrade, concrete, and asphalt. The city does not intend to use the selected firm for any other phase of the project. Submittals should include firm name and contact, principal-in-charge and project manager, number of employees proposed, and descriptions of relevant company and personnel experience. Submittals will be evaluated and ranked on key personnel qualifications, firm experience, ability to meet schedule, approach to project, familiarity with relevant codes and standards, and past performance. Submittals must be in PDF if electronic, or four copies if delivered by mail or in person, and are due by the specified deadline.
