Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Newark, Delaware. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Project Description: This project will include the replacement of the existing 20 9-foot long by 15-foot wide wooden bridge with a 16-foot wide by 20 9 precast rigid frame structure. The current stream is encroaching on Hopkins Road. The project will also include the realignment of the stream, on the upstream side of the bridge structure, to protect Hopkins Road. The stream realignment will include natural techniques, while limiting the use of hard materials. The stream realignment will stay within 200-feet of the existing bridge structure. There will be the removal of approximately 5-10 trees during construction
