Site work and remodeling of a laboratory facility in Moncton, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for site work for a laboratory facility; and for the remodel of a 180,000-square-foot, six-story above grade laboratory facility.
Public Works and Government Services Canada has retained a Construction Manager (Pomerleau) to modernize laboratory facilities as part of its Laboratories Canada program of work. The project involves the redevelopment and expansion of the Atlantic Science Enterprise Centre (ASEC), also known as the Gulf Fisheries Centre (GFC), in Moncton, NB, which is a federally designated recognized heritage building. The building will remain operational during the phased construction approach, which includes Enabling Works, Phase 1 New Science Annex, and Phase 2 New Construction. The Request for Qualification aims to receive and assess submissions from interested Trade Partners for the purpose of pre-qualifying subcontractors to construct the Building Interior for Phase 1 of ASEC, specifically for the Security Package. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
